Formal but not Boring: Business Attire:
Formal dresses make you look elegant. It’s true they are not always very comfortable to stay in but the grace formal attire brings to your personality is far greater than wearing an informal or a casual dress. Business attire is normally associated to a suit and tie. With the right knowledge, you can transform your entire wardrobe into something that is surrounded by elegance. People normally think that formal attire is only restricted to a suit and tie, but that isn’t so. You can bring a lot of variation in your dresses just by adding up exciting, vibrant colors and fine, suitable accessories that complement your dress. There are certain things that you need to keep in mind while dressing in formal attire. Your dress should be properly tailored. It should reach just the right length and fitting and be a coordinate of shape, style and color.
As far as the right size and length is concerned, your trousers should be exactly the right length. They should fall just above your shoes. Neither too small, nor should excess cloth be hanging at the bottom. The sleeves of your shirt should cover your wrist bone when your hands are raised above your head. Your shoulders should be fitting smugly on your body and your jacket should hug your body structure, perfectly. It has to be just the right size. Your wardrobe should consist of different shades; pastel colors such as lavender, yellow, tan or pink. Such colored shirts can easily be matched with a variety of different colored suits and ties. Similarly, don’t restrict your suit colors to just the grey’s and blue’s. You should add deep brown, olive, summer white, charcoal grey and solid blue or blacks.
Learn to color coordinate your layers so that you look elegant yet comprehensible too. You should wear dark colored suits with pastel shirts and nice patterned ties. You can add a leather belt that goes with your shoes and plain socks or simply patterned ones. You can also add a fancy tie clip and matching cuff links- make sure you don’t include flashy items in your dressing but you can always wear a classy wrist watch. Business attire is meant to make you look decent, not like a model prepared for a photoshoot!
