Selfie trend is deceiving: You cant take selfie and be merry:
The latest psychological research states that taking selfie is really a disorder which needs a proper and systematic treatment. The research further elaborates that people who have low self confidence and those who lack others’ attention are more prone to this disease. Well, I have some other opinions in this regard. According to my observations people who are suffering from or may be those who try to seek public attention are more prone to selfie addiction. It is usually observed that people who are socially restricted or those who lack the power to interact with the world around them and in short those who are lonely take refuge in capturing their selfies, just to make the world aware of their presence.
In this world, we all are fighting for ourselves, to get the due of our existence, we humans want ourselves to be acknowledged; this human nature is the very same from centuries but now in this era of 21st century, things are too easy for us. Humans can now live without other human companions, all what they want is the scientific technologies, the gadgets to make their selves acknowledged. Yes ! selfie is all about showing the world that you simply exist. In the same manner, selfie is the way to portray your self confidence to the world. If you are over confident and you are sure about what you are, what you have to do and you are sure about your styles and trends and you show it off to the world at large by using your mobile phones without anyone’s help, it is now named selfie. In short, it makes people self centered.
People need to realize the importance of others in their life and around them. People are nowadays so much obsessed with doing things themselves that the social contacts are coming to an end. In terms of taking selfie, people ignore the others around them; they are busy praising and feeling proud of themselves ignoring the person sitting next to them. Now here again another question arises, is selfie a gateway to society and social interaction or is it leading to social boycott and stopping one’s social mobility ???? People need to think and evaluate their acts. There is now a need for going beyond the face value of these scientific technologies and to realize the pitfalls of these 21st century inventions.
To conclude, one must admit that capturing selfie is really a fun. It makes people independent, and self sufficient but on the expense of one’s social contact.
