Look good in passport pictures:
Everyone once in their life face the daunting experience of worst looking passport pictures that makes them whine for quite a long period. The same thing happened to me when I turned eighteen and was too excited for my passport. I got up to get ready for the passport office where I had to take my passport size pictures together with my documents. I thought I should go simple; my mom and elder sister compelled me to put on a dark colored outfit with a suitable hairstyle. I thought better dress simple rather than stylish. After enough waiting, I received my passport. Something clenched inside me as I stole a glance on the picture inside my passport. I knew I was stuck with the picture for more or less a very long time. That day onwards, I keep my picture hidden from anywhere who even gets close to it. And I certainly don’t want the same thing to happen to you.
Out of personal experience, following are some really effective tips that would help you look good in passport pictures while you hold your passport.
Common problem – Look good in passport pictures:
- Get a shower:
Rolling out of your bed and heading straight away to the studio for your passport picture would never help you look photogenic. Your clean look really matters for you to end up with an eye catching picture. So before leaving for snap shots make sure you have taken a good shower. If you do not wish to have a full bath, then give your face a good scrub before walking towards your car!
- Shave your beard:
Stubble often creates a messy image in passport snaps. Sometimes you may even look older than your actual age. Shave or trim your beard well and don’t forget to trim your side burns.
- Do your hair well:
Choose the hairstyle you want to see yourself in, every time you open your passport in future. You know you have got to spend a long time looking at it. Do your hair well. Some wax or gel might do!
- Choose a shirt:
None of the pieces of clothing matter when it comes to passport pictures but one, your shirt. Do not entangle yourself. What you need to keep in mind is your shirt color. Make sure your shirt is dark in color if your complexion is fair, like maroon, black, dark brown, magenta or dark purple. If your skin is a bit darker in complexion, go for light colored shirtslike white, peach, light pink and grey. Once you have found your shirt, press it well and put it on. You can wear a dress coat to give a more decent and professional look. Teens can add denim jackets too.
- Avoid accessories:
An important thing about passport pictures is that they need not to be too flashy. They need to have a very decent look considering how it is an official document. Avoid accessories like, eye wears, neck ornaments, ear rings and any other accessories, even hat!
- Set yourself before the final snapshot:
Give yourself a final check just before you take your seat inside the studio; set your hair, adjust your collars. Go on and look photogenic.
