Does it look good on you?
Obsessed with some fashion trend and style? Though we have discussed this topic many times in the past but reviewing it again will not cost you much, in fact it will help you save your nerves. Fashion is all about trends, styles and ways of life. Fashion is meant to make you look good, classy and up to date. But not every fashion trend is worth following. Also keep in mind that obsession is never desirable. If you are so fashion conscious you need to be patient, consistent and wise to know what things are meant for you. But the question still arises, What you love is what you buy, but does it look good on you?
What you love, is what you buy, but does it look good on you?
What do you generally do when you go out for shopping? Do you focus on buying that is inn or do you tend to buy cheaper stuff or do you buy what you love to have or do you go buying around things that complement you the most? An eye opening fact is that all these ways of shopping are wrong. The one and only the best way to do it is keeping the current fashion, yourself and your older collection in mind. Yes I really meant your ‘past collection’! You see if you don’t keep in mind the older collection of yours you will probably end up buying same type of things again and again because if you liked one thing in the past you will most probably like it again and again and choices don’t change overnight.
Imagine how will it look if you have three, striped t- shirts of almost same colors and styles? It will look as if you have a color changing device that changes your collection’s colors every now and then or it will look as if you were not able to buy new products so you ended up giving your old T- Shirt a dye. Other than that wearing same style outfits or anything will make it your signature. How will you feel if people talk about you like “that Mr. so and so who is always striped”? heheheh awkward! It really is. Remember not to label yourself with anything particular. So when you go around shopping you should be very careful or you will end up wasting your money.
It is not very obvious that the things you like will look good on you. You see one should listen to his heart and his mind along. Listening to your heart only sometimes make things very bad. For example if you like a plain red colored shirt and you are in mid-50 do you think it will complement your age? Or someone liking a loafers shoes gets it and he is a sports guy, what will he do? Go around wearing loafer shoes in a sports event? Can he? So remember that not everything liked can be suitable for you. When you buy ask yourself does it looks good on “YOU”? Or if you are not sure about your choice seek an advice from someone.
So, from today say NO to your old shopping style. Shopping is an art and when you shop keep in mind the fashion and your personality. Spending a lot of money will never do any good to you and its better to know the fashion and the best way you can have it on yourself.
