People say beauty lies within one’s self. That’s very true to some extent because if that were to be entirely true, we wouldn’t have ever been bothered about appearance. We would never have made an effort to look good or to change our appearances. But we do do that because deep within we do realize that our appearance does matter. That is why we have plenty of things today that can add or explain; appreciate who we actually are. This is why we strive hard to make an effort so that we may look presentable. At many points in our lives we are expected to wear or dress formally, such as on weddings, job interviews, meetings, first day at college and many other formal occasions. So it is expected to wear a tie and a jacket along with it, as it would make you look more composed and mature. It does, by the way. A a variety of tie styles and jackets change your look, completely.

However, you do not need to restrict your tie just to be worn with a jacket. That’s not true. I mean it’s not compulsory that you are required to wear a proper suit and then a tie along with it. You can add tie up to your casual dressing as well. Oscar Wilde once quoted “A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life.”We know that wearing a tie represents a lot of things and if you like wearing ties every now and then, but you cannot every so often carry a jacket, you need not to wear it. You can simply wear a tie without the jacket. Now, wearing a tie says that you have all the necessary ‘gentlemanly’ manners and that you are disciplined, mature, responsible, dependable, and ambitious and ready to deal with the hardships of life on your own. You should make the tie a part of your attire; it would add a burst of confidence in you.

You can wear a tie with jeans, proper jeans that fit nicely on your physique and not some loose, baggy jeans or other verities that we have now. Wear jeans, a button down shirt and a tie. To make your appearance exuberant, you can also add a waist coat to your dressing. A waist coat with a half-sleeved button down formal shirt-plain, not printed-with a printed tie and dress pants or jeans can do too. It will make you look dashing and add elegance to your personality. You have to be careful while choosing a tie too; casual ties are usually narrower than the formal ones. Similarly, shinier ones are to be worn formally, where as matted ties with textures are suited for a more casual use.  Formal ties are to be worn longer; they should reach a little above your belt where as the casual ones do not need to be so low.

For casual use, wear ties with button down collar shirts in plain colors, not the printed or spread colored shirts. Never wear a tie if you are thinking about wearing shorts! You can wear ties with sweaters and blazers too; they too need to be matted and not too shiny. With the right information and proper use you can pull off any look you like. You just need to know what to wear and how.
