“I think that when you get dressed in the morning, sometimes you’re really making a decision about your behavior for the day. Like if you put on flip-flops, you’re saying: ‘Hope I don’t get chased today.’ ‘Be nice to people in sneakers.’” – Demetri Martin
Your dressing reflects plenty of things; your mood, your personality, your status, your mentality and your nature. One should dress up in a way that not only impresses but also expresses how positive you feel today. What you are dressed up as plays undoubtedly a very significant role, especially if it is a first impression you have to create today. One should never compromise on looks; dress smart, not for others but for yourself! There is a reason as to why we want to dress perfectly before leaving for a job interview, a new meeting or a new gathering. Have you ever wondered why? Perhaps because we want acceptance and respect from others, we want them to perceive us as someone who really knows class.
Don’t go against the call – Dress perfectly:
Perfect dressing is not about branded clothing. You need to know what suits you and how to carry what you wear; this would define you and not the expensive tag that once hung at the collar of your shirt. You can wear anything you like or are comfortable with, as long as it goes along well with the rest of your attire. For instance, job interviews demand formal attire. Let them know you are a professional person and know exactly what you are signing up for. Formal attire is elegant enough to make you look intelligent and composed. Wear more of red, kohl, blue, browns and greens. These colors tend to make you look lively. Add a tie if you feel comfortable wearing it!
Similarly, you wish to make some new friends and do not want them to jump to negative conclusions about your personality. This is another instance where first impression counts more than you might know, where you need to ensure what you wear is trendy and makes you stand out among other people in an impressing way. You might want to choose a casual polo shirt with skinny jeans paired up with comfortable sandals or sneakers. Wear clothes that fit your age, do not wear oversized dresses or something that only older or younger men would be expected to wear. Dress wisely in a blend of fresh colors and clip a soothing effect with your presence.
Most importantly, wear suitable accessories. Add belts that match your pants or boots. During summers, make sure that you wear fresh scents that would help you appear active and sound. Use some Eau de toilettes to keep yourself freshened up. Along with the formal dress, add a classy watch, tie some delightfully patterned ties that include dull and bright shades; avoid something that’s too flashy. During winters, you can add warm, wool caps and woolen scarves- these would make you look quite decent. You just need to make sure that you color coordinate your layers and do not wear something that does not go with the entire look of yours. It does not take a lot of time, really. Give it a go!
