Mistakes at gym:
Going to the exercise room, watching others doing workouts, a glance on the number of exercise instruments is what make you wish for the healthy and fit body. But is this enough? A proper guide for workout is also necessary. People make a lot of blunders during their workout and think that it would help them to get six packs in just few days and eventually it leads them to severe injuries, muscle imbalance and time waste. There are very common mistakes that guy used to make during workouts at gym. I have compiled all of those mistakes at gym to help you stay away from serious muscle problems.
Some of the most common mistakes at gym are:
- Lifting excess weight:
Guys think that lifting weight more than they would help them in shaping their body in no time. That is what a major mistake they do. You should lift as much weight as you can. Focus on your ability of taking and bearing weight so that more weight won’t hurt your muscles. Give two seconds in concentric and five second for eccentric lift. Do not exceed the time limit. People think that lifting too much weight for longer time will help them. But that is not the case in actual workout.
- Training for strength only:
Guys go for work out just for gaining strength and making muscles. Many guys do what they love to do in workout. These habits are very dangerous in muscle make up. Like they cause muscle imbalance in you. It happens in yoga exercise. Guys ignore many stretches which they do not like. It is not compulsory to do all the stretches daily. You can ignore some of them for a day or two but you can’t ignore them permanently. You have to do that stretches once or twice in a week to maintain muscles balance.
- Making mirror muscles:
Any guys bother only those muscles which are prominent and visible in the mirror. This is a major mistake that guys make at gym. Training for mirror muscles makes a severe imbalance of muscles and your posterior muscles get weaker than your chest and bicep muscles. So do not work for your mirror or visible muscles. Make a plan for your whole body, like give three days for your upper body and 3 for your lower body and do a perfect workout for perfect body.
- Lack of focus:
Guys make a long term plan and then stick to it for just few weeks till they get their desired results. This is a very bad habit which can’t help you to get a perfect looking body. Lack of focus on the specific plan is the main reason you have at gym. Getting the desired results is not enough but you have to complete your training and you have to stick to your routine as required.
- Stressing lower back:
Many guys stress their lower back on leg press. Bringing the plates very close and forcing with your lower back can cause a severe muscle injury of your lower back and knee joints. A perfect knee angle is the only way to avoid these injuries. Make your knee angle at 90 degrees and do not allow your back to raise off from your seat and your feet to rise off from foot plates.
