- Be smart with finances:
Rely on one income to raise your family or to expect the ex-spouse to share the burden is one of the harshest parts of the single parenting. Thus, the most important thing to tackle is to make up a budget, divide it strategically and spend it as per plan so one may never run out of money and feel bad for being single and not able to fulfill their responsibility. Try making extra investments, making long-term plan or going an extra mile with your job.
- Take good care of yourself:
As you are the single parent with the entire responsibility of the child, it is important to take equal care of yourself as you care for the child. The idea of managing finances only stays true if you manage good health and spirit to drive things your way in the long run.
Taking breaks in your tiresome routine, going out for a trip shall relax your soul and mind plus energize you to fulfill your charge in an even better way.
- Join groups or build a community:
Since you are the lone parent, and may lose your spirit in the daily grinder of cruel some life, finding someone in the similar situation may truly be a lifesaver. It might not be easy to find any similar force or group, however, you may find one in the community, maybe on a social networking site or if not this, you may make your own group to discuss issues, share cheers and make life blissful by providing emotional support and make a perfect way out of your isolation.
- Make a set routine:
In order to make things fall in place and life to run smoothly with as little complexities as possible, the utmost thing to be done is to make a routine. Having a pre- planned daily routine such as having a regular meal time , wake up time, outing time, shopping and so on will help you build a sense of security for your child, things being run in order and most importantly your life being under control.
Keep your bedtimes, mealtimes, and the time when your family woke up quit constant in the morning. Most probably you will miss the workday time to spend with your kids. But don’t make up for it at night. This would even allow quality family time with the required proper rest.
- Spare time to play:
