With the increasing trend of selfies, its criticism is also rising. People say that it leads to self-obsession, low confidence, sense of complexity and anxiety. But actually, before the introduction of selfie trend people still loved to be self-obsessed, they loved to capture moments of their life to be proud of them later on. They loved to show world what they possess and what the best they own. But after the introduction of selfie trend, a proper gateway got opened for the people to introduce themselves before the world more easily. Now they have their cameras ready all the time to click their best selfies all the time and everywhere. But is this act really damaging your self-confidence? I questioned almost every teen I met through last month, asking what compel them to take selfies every day and what actually they get from doing so. About 60% teens replied, that they get self-confidence immediately. According to these teens, selfies make them independent from other’s opinion about themselves. As before the trend of selfies they have to ask someone about how are they looking or the things are looking good on them or not? But now they just have to click their own selfie and they can realize how they actually looking.
On the other hand, remaining 40% said, taking selfies is the best way to grab inner happiness. Seeing yourself beautiful in your selfies make you feel happy instantly and you feel confident on your own self that helps you in trusting your beauty, angles and style. You don’t need to take opinion from anyone else about your style and looks. If you are having some short comings in yourself or you are fat then it doesn’t mean that taking selfies will retrain you in sense of complexity. But taking your selfies helps you finding details in your external image and help you improving your looks and health.
Many people keep self-image that is absolutely different from their outer image, taking selfies help you combining both images and obtaining the smooth timeline of your life to boot. When you take your silly selfie and post it on social media, that isn’t a goofy thing you do, but that is your actual mood and way to express what you actually are. That means you aren’t a boring person, but you are enough jolly to do silly things to make yourself happy by your own self.
Other good aspect of taking selfies is that, clicking good selfies and uploading them to social media for public opinion is another easy way to know what the people around you thinks about you, and this help you in bringing appropriate changes in yourself. Taking selfies are not the wastage of time, if this is time wasting then asking people about your looks to satisfy yourself is also time wasting.
With medical approaches, many people confess that taking selfies is the mental disorder, self-obsession and narcissistic behavior that leads to over confidence or to the loss of confidence. They say, that many people starts thinking themselves superior and better than many other and many people starts taking themselves inferior. But actually that depends on you, if you want to hide best things or short comings in yourself that’s easy, but the key to success is always finding good things in you to enhance and show them to the world and to find bad thing in you to improve them to be a better and stylish gent. So, selfies are the easiest way not only to capture the memorable moment but to capture the good and bad things in you.
