- Empty your closet:
Bring all your clothes out of your closet. It will help you examine your clothes briefly. And you will get to know what actually you should do with your stuff.
- Separate clothes that need alteration:
Now the second step is to set those clothes apart that needs tailoring or alteration. Like if you have your shirt that you don’t wear because its buttons are detached then separate it from remaining stuff so that you would give it a visit to tailor. One by one check everything and see if anything needs alteration and put it aside. Then pile them and place them in separate bucket.
- Separate useless clothes:
Now separate those clothes that you don’t wear anymore like if they are too short and too loose now. Make a separate pile of these clothes.
- Go through this pile wisely:
Now it’s time to have a relaxing look at this pile. See if these clothes can be altered to make a new look of them. Like if you have a jeans that is too short to wear now. Just take a pause, hold a scissors and cut its length up to make a stylish short. What if you make fewer cut in your shorts at different places? Awesome? Just Do it then…! If you have your favorite T-shirt with its sleeves torn and you can’t wear it anymore, then what if you cut down its sleeves and wear it sleeveless? Looking dashing? Do it then. Likewise think creatively for every piece separately whether it’s your formal wear or casual one make a new piece out of old one.
- Be creative:
As I have mentioned earlier, that be creative and make a new piece out of old one. Take your plain light blue jeans and just throw different fabric colors wildly and see you have a very creative new jeans. Take your old but nice printed tie and tie it on your waste and make new belt. Trust me the more you mix the more style you invent, it’s just the matter of confidence that how confidently you go with your personal style.

Now if you are still confused about what to do with this stuff then simply search fashion magazines and find color combinations and easy styles that you can make out of this worn out stuff.
- Find those designs or styles that don’t need sewing:
Now, find out those ideas that don’t require sewing. If you have got any idea, the just take your scissors and get started recycling your fashion.
